Secret Weapon bases are in!!!!

So yes, my bases arrived yesterday afternoon, and as soon as the kid went to bed last night and I had free time, I stayed up until 3am working on getting my Cygnar models based.  I have to say, these bases are easily the best I have ever worked with.  The raised edges add a whole new level of detail, and the water effect is amazing on bases.  Anyways, here are the pictures of how these came out.  I'll put out a post on how I did all of this once the rest of my models arrive in the mail next week or so.

So here is the first model.  These bases are amazing on the larger scale models, since there is so much room to work with.  I have to say, I REALLLLLLY like how these turned out.

Here is a close up of how it looks.  I need a little practice making those grass tufts, but other than that, I think I am in love, haha.

On the smaller bases, there is enough detail to stand out, yet at the same time it doesn't draw all of your attention away from models.  Again, SOOOOOO much cooler than simple sand and then a dry brush.

My camera work on this one doesn't do it much justice, but again it's awesomesauce.

Here is the same model from behind.

This is the close up I was missing on my post from last well, so here you go.  I really like the model, and the extra electrical parts were a nice touch that breaks up the monotony of the greens and other dark colors.

All said and done, I cannot wait to base all of my other models once I get them built and painted.  Using Secret Weapons bases not only saves time, but obviously they are amazing.  I just put in another order today for extra bases and some washes, so I'm looking forward to that.  If you guys are interested in their stuff, here are the links to their sexiness:

Extra nature goodness

And if you're looking to make these bases, here is the video where Mr. Justin shows you how!

Video of awesomeness

Now, I'm pretty sure I have shown these before, but here are my counts-as inquisitors for my Thousand Sons army.  I painted them gold since there were no Inquisitors with the Thousand Sons obviously, but there were Custodes with them, so I went with that.  Anyways, these are just here to show you how I am using some of Secret Weapons other bases.  They have a wide variety, and it works well for me.

Anyways, I'm off to my new FLGS, so I will catch all you awesome interwebers later!
